D. (§11.33) Time Limitation on Suit Clauses

Like forum-selection clauses, clauses in passenger contracts limiting the time period in which the passenger on a vessel can sue for personal injuries are generally enforceable. A passenger ticket for a vessel is a maritime contract and is interpreted by the general maritime law. See, e.g.:
