A. (§11.3) Rehearings in the Missouri Court of Appeals

Motions for rehearing in the Missouri Court of Appeals are governed by Rule 84.17. A motion for rehearing must be filed within 15 days after the opinion of the court is filed. Id. This time limitation is mandatory and cannot be extended by the court or by agreement of counsel. State v. Fields, 538 S.W.2d 348, 351 (Mo. App. S.D. 1976); Adams v. White, 488 S.W.2d 289, 294 (Mo. App. S.D. 1972). Mailing is not filing. Ely v. Parsons, 399 S.W.2d 613 (Mo. App. E.D. 1966).
