8. (§11.24) Requests for Inspection by Jury

Sometimes it is beneficial for a jury to view a particular scene. It is within the trial court’s discretion to determine the appropriateness of allowing the jury to view a scene outside of the courtroom. McDowell v. Schuette, 610 S.W.2d 29, 39–40 (Mo. App. E.D. 1980). Merely showing that a view by the jury would be helpful does not necessarily demonstrate an abuse of discretion when the trial court refuses to permit a view. Zipp v.
