H. (§11.10) Special Considerations for Extraordinary Writs
The use of original remedial writs carries special rules as to rehearing and transfer. If a peremptory writ is denied without an opinion issuing (as is most often the case), a motion for reconsideration cannot be filed. Rule 84.24. Further review must be by another petition for a writ to the next higher court.
