5. (§10.77) Rescue Services

Under appropriate circumstances, an airport operator could be liable for negligent failure to provide rescue equipment and personnel. There are no reported cases finding liability, although a negligently attempted rescue was the basis of governmental liability in Blumenthal v. United States, 189 F. Supp. 439 (E.D.
