The scope of this chapter includes several important employee rights that attorneys representing either the employer or the employee should be aware of. The most recent right, the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, Pub. L. No. 103-3, 107 Stat. 6, is discussed first, followed by short discussions of jury duty requirements and leaves of absence for voting purposes.
