After the commissioners’ report is filed, the condemnor is faced with four basic choices to proceed:
- Abandon the proceedings
- File exceptions, but delay payment of the award until later in the proceedings, or after a jury trial
- Pay the award and file exceptions for a jury trial
- Pay the award and do not file exceptions
