2. (§1.17) Cities of the Third Class

Third class cities may choose one of three forms of government:

1. Mayor-council

2. Commission

3. City administrator

The powers, duties, and organizational requirements of third class cities generally, as well as specific provisions regarding the mayor-council and the city administrator forms of government, are found in Chapter 77, RSMo; the commission form of government is set forth in Chapter 78, RSMo.
