A. (§1.16) Generally

Primary legal authority on trial procedure includes:

· Chapter 510, RSMo;

· § 546.070, RSMo 2016 (order of trial in criminal proceedings);

· Rule 73.01 (on trials without a jury or with an advisory jury);

· Rule 27.02 (order of trial in felony cases); and

· Rule 27.03 (order of trial in misdemeanor cases).

Most venues have local rules touching on trial procedure. It should be noted that many of the older Missouri statutes under Titles XXXII through XXXVIII...
