Missouri courts consistently hold that a plaintiff may recover damages for aggravation of a preexisting condition caused by the negligent act of the defendant. Schide v. Gottschick, 43 S.W.2d 777 (Mo. 1931); Miller v. Gulf, Mobile & Ohio R.R. Co., 386 S.W.2d 97 (Mo. 1964). The plaintiff must prove by substantial evidence that there is a causal connection between the defendant’s negligence
