In February, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Christopher Cox announced the appointment of attorney John W. White to the position of Director of the Division of Corporate Finance, beginning on March 20. As a partner with the law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, White has represented public companies and their financial advisors. He's stepping into the role of the much-admired Alan Beller, who announced his departure in January.
