A season of champions.

The fall 2010 season at High Point University was one of unprecedented success in athletics The women's soccer and women's volleyball teams were Big South Tournament Champions and advanced to the NCAA Tournament while the men's soccer team was the Big South regular-season champion with a school-record 16 wins.

"We couldn't be more proud of the way our teams performed in the fall," said Athletic Director Craig Keilitz. "We want High Point University to compete at a championship level in every sport and this season showed that our goal is becoming a reality."

run started with the women's soccer team, which won a share of the Big South regular season before winning its second-straight tournament championship. The tournament victory came when senior Jillie Johnston connected on a sensational bicycle kick that resulted in a 1-0 overtime win over Gardner-Webb. Defender Janay Whittaker was named tournament MVP and Whittaker, Johnston, junior goalie Andrea Ritchie and freshman forward Kelli Joline earned spots on the All-Tournament team. The Panthers then went on to have their best-ever showing in the NCAA Championship, playing No. 4 Maryland in the first round. Joline scored the first goal of the game to put the Panthers ahead, before the team eventually lost 4-1.
