SCRA announces new members and grant recipients.

The South Carolina Research Authority recently announced two new member companies and grant recipients.

Heroic Health and UGC Holdings were accepted as SCRA member companies, and Algistor and MacB IT Solutions received grant funding, according to a news release.

All SCRA member companies receive coaching, access to experts in SCRA's Resource Partner Network, eligibility to apply for grant funding, and the potential to be considered for investment from SCRA's investment affiliate, SC Launch Inc.

Columbia-based life science company Algistor Inc. received a $50,000 demonstration grant. The company manufactures sterile algae by developing, farming and separating oleic fatty oils from the microalgae chlorella vulgaris.
