I just saw the August issue, and I have to object to the "No Comment" entitled "Sci-Fi in the National Interest," which talks about science fiction writers joining the war on terror.

Science fiction writers have been advising the government for decades. Jerry Pournelle is quoted as saying, "We're well-qualified nuts."

But Pournelle also has doctorates in engineering and psychology and has a resume that includes major roles in the Mercury and Apollo programs, not to mention developing astronaut training for NASA.
