SCETV receives $296,257 grant to support project.

South Carolina ETV has received a $296,257 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to support a project detailing the Reconstruction era.

The grant will support Reconstruction 360, which includes videos and short documentary films as well as an immersive website and a mobile app. The project will complement Reconstruction: America After the Civil War, a PBS documentary produced by Henry Louis Gates Jr. which premiered in 2019.

"A multi-platform approach to the creation of educational resources is a critical part of our strategy at SCETV," Anthony Padgett, SCETV president and CEO, said in a news release. "We're excited to receive support from the NEH for our Reconstruction 360 project and look forward to seeing users gain insight into this critical era in American history."
