In the December/January issue on page 7 you mention the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact as a way to get rid of the Electoral College (Comment: "The Damage Done, the Job Ahead"). I agree that it is vital to eliminate the Electoral College. However, the Interstate Compact as a way to get rid of the Electoral College is unconstitutional-the states cannot make pacts with each other.

States can decide to give proportionate value in determining their Electoral College votes...
