Your last issue was a home run. Every article and interview was proof of the potential to save our planet. That The Progressive , a political magazine, envisioned this issue is great news to me. Folks concerned about environmental issues need to turn our attention to creating a political movement. If we realize that environment, politics, social justice, and energy are all connected and require a consolidated effort to improve our combined welfare, then real change could be possible.

The December 2010/January 2011 issue on "Saving the Earth" was very good, but there was not a word in it about the overpopulation problem or the ultraconservative religious forces (such as the Vatican, evangelical Protestants, Muslims, and Orthodox Jews) that have been exacerbating the problem worldwide.

Why not?
