First year law student Jennifer Stone has her work cut out for her. Between her standard class assignments and her blossoming relationship with 3L Scott Marino, Jennifer barely has time to think, much less take on any more commitments.

But eccentric Savannah College of Law professor and dean hopeful Denis Nolan has other plans, convincing Jennifer to become his teacher's assistant and a member of the school's Dean Search Committee. Pleased with the attention from a professor, Jennifer says yes to both responsibilities--despite others' misgivings--and sends her life into a tumultuous spiral.
