SASHCO SEALANTS: When Don Burch founded Sashco in 1936, metal windowpanes were Just beginning to show up on Colorado homes, in place of the wooden statusquo. But the putty on the market at the time didn't stick to metal quite right, leading Burch to make a product that did. The breakthrough proved fortuitous, as did a number of innovations and new products (sealants, stains, and chinking) that followed.
