The Santa Clara Valley Chapter recently awarded its annual Larry Langdon scholarships to two students pursuing masters degrees in taxation.

At a chapter meeting on March 27, chapter second vice president, Tom Rogers, presented a $3,000 scholarship to Wennie Wang of San Jose State University. Wennie is a straight-A student in the Master of Science in Taxation program. She received her BS in accounting from San Jose State in May 2000, graduating summa cum laude with a 3.95 GPA and was a President's scholar. She also holds a California CPA certificate. Wennie plans to pursue a career as a tax professional with a CPA firm.

On May 9, Tom Rogers presented another $3,000 scholarship to David Weng of California State University, Hayward. The presentation took place at the annual awards banquet of the College of Business and Economics...
