Chris Mills has been named project manager of aerospace development for cutting-tool giant Sandvik Coromant.

In his new role, Mills will focus on boosting sales growth while leading a team of specialists in the implementation of the Sandvik Coromant Aerospace Application Center in North America.

"Chris has an extensive knowledge of manufacturing both in theory and in practice, as well as an acumen for sales and marketing," says John Israelsson, president of Sandvik Coromant. "He will be an essential element in Sandvik Coromant's push to provide complete component solutions to our aerospace customers."

Mills joined Sandvik Coromant as a sales engineer in 1994, following a nine-year tenure as a mechanical and design engineer for the Royal Signals and Radar Establishment, Defense Research Agency, in the United Kingdom.
