* The National Defense Industrial Association announced in March the winners of the annual Colonel Leo A. Codd Memorial Award for 2013.
The award recognizes outstanding junior officers in ROTC programs throughout the United States. First-through third-place winners are named in the Army, Navy and Air Force.
The 2013 Air Force recipients were Maj.. Mark A. Slik Brigham Young University; Capt. Sean L. Kreps, University of Arkansas; and Maj. Michael A. Miller, Purdue University.
