Robert C. Plumb, who served as 1965-1966 President of Tax Executive Institute, died on June 16, 2009, at the age of 94. He was graduated from Columbia College and Business School in 1936 and became a certified public accounting in New York in 1942.

Specializing in corporate taxation, Mr. Plumb worked first Ernst & Ernst, Standard Oil, and then American Cynanamid Company where he worked for 25 years, retiring in 1979 as Director of Taxes and Assistant Treasurer. He joined TEI's New York Chapter in 1956, and subsequently joined the Institute's Federal Tax Committee, which he chaired in 1964-1965.
