Marsh Inc., the risk and insurance services firm, has brought out two new versions of its STARS risk management information system -- one designed for client/server applications and another for the Web.

The client/server release, known as STARS 8.0, offers a variety of new capabilities designed for organizations that self-administer claims, as well as for insurers and third-party administrators. The new features include the ability to create document-based audit trails and the option to automatically base policy premium amounts on the values from a named insured.
