Alaska Permanent Fund Corp.

Former Borough Mayor Jim Sampson of Fairbanks was elected to serve as chair of the board of trustees of the Alaska Permanent Fund Corp. Eric E. Wohlforth of Anchorage was elected vice chair. The election of officers took place recently during the corporation's 2001 annual meeting in Juneau. Sampson was appointed to the board of trustees in August 1997 by Gov. Tony Knowles and reappointed for a new four-year term in July.

Sampson served as mayor of the Fairbanks North Star Borough from October 1991 to November 1997. He was appointed commissioner of the Department of Labor for Alaska, serving from 1986 to 1990. He currently serves as co-chairman of the Alaska Highway Natural Gas Policy Council and as a director of the Alaska State AFL and Alaska Works Partnership.

Northrim Bank

Lori Philo Cook was promoted from vice president/marketing director to senior vice president/marketing director for Northrim Bank. She is responsible for managing Northrim's marketing department, including the bank's image and positioning in the marketplace. She holds a master's degree in marketing communications and is a member of the Bank Marketing Association. Ted Perez was hired as vice president, commercial loan officer at Northrim. He works at Northrim's commercial lending office in the Mat-Su Valley.

AES Medsearch

Lori L. Jacobson joined AES Medsearch, a division of Alaska Executive Search Inc., as medical registry consultant. Jacobson has more than 15 years of medical administration and management experience, more than five of those years in Anchorage. She holds a licensed clinical nursing certificate from California.

ASCG Inc.

ASCG Inc. recently added three employees to its engineering division in Anchorage and one employee to its surveying division in Fairbanks. Karen Tilton joined ASCG's survey division as a professional land surveyor managing the company's Fairbanks office. Archie Gottschalk was hired as a planner for ASCG's engineering division. He has 28 years of project planning experience in Alaska. Civil engineer Mark Sherman joined the firm as an associate vice president and manager of the water/wastewater department. Ed Davis joined ASCG also as a planner in the engineering division. He has 20 years of experience in construction and planning, including developing an economic development program for the Bering Straits region of Nome.
