BP Exploration

Richard Campbell, regional president, BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. (since Jan. 1,1997), handed over the reins Sept. 30 to Steve Marshall, formerly regional president, BP Scotland. Marshall is a 24-year BP employee who worked in Anchorage and on the North Slope from 1978 to 1986. His arrival will coincide with the consolidation of six Alaska business units into a single organization that Marshall will lead. Recently, he held positions as general manager of BP Petroleum Development, Brazil; general manager of BP Petroleum Development, Egypt; business development manager for U.K. Gas, based in London; general manager for the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Canada, also based in London; and general manager for exploitation, Europe, based in Glasgow.

Denali Alaskan Financial

Mick Brogan was hired as an investment advisor representative for the new Denali Alaskan Financial Services Co. Brogan has more than 16 years experience in the industry, most recently at New York Life. He has attained insurance licenses for life, health and disability insurance and has investment licenses for fee-based financial planning, stocks, bonds and mutual funds.

Alaska Airlines

Readers of Travel & Leisure magazine have voted Alaska Airlines the best carrier in the nation. The airline was voted best domestic airline in 1996, the first year of the World's Best Awards and again in 1999. The airline was honored at a presentation in New York City recently.

Glacier Bay Cruiseline

Greg Dronkert recently rejoined Glacier Bay Cruiseline of Seattle as president and CEO, overseeing all aspects of the small-ship cruise company. Dronkert is a graduate of the California Maritime Academy and has an extensive background in the industry. Formerly he was with the cruise line as vice president of operations.

Harding ESE

Paul Ramert was appointed managing principal for the Alaska offices of Harding ESE, a nationwide engineering and environmental firm. Bryan Lund has rejoined Harding as an associate geologist. Lorri Johnson of Harding recently passed her professional engineer's exam.
