ACS

Alaska Communications Systems Group Inc. recently announced a reorganization of the senior management of the corporation. Wesley E. Carson, president and chief administrative officer, will be responsible for regulatory affairs, external relations, human resources, labor relations, administration and information technology. John R. Ayers, executive vice president and chief operating officer, assumes responsibility for sales and marketing; network operations and engineering; and the company's local exchange, wireless and directory business units. Kevin P. Hemenway, senior vice president and chief financial officer, will direct the corporation's treasury, finance, revenue requirements, tax and business planning function.

Anchorage Convention & Visitor Bureau

The Anchorage Convention and Visitors Bureau appointed Jeanette Anderson Moores as public relations manager. She brings with her more than 20 years experience in the travel industry. Prior to joining ACVB, she was marketing specialist and special projects coordinator for Providence Imaging Center from 1996 to 2000.

The Alaska Club

The Alaska Club hired Anthony Stein as computer network administrator. Prior to joining the organization, Stein provided comprehensive computer support for research scientists at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Md. Jennifer Duax was hired as membership manager at The Alaska Club South and Anchorage downtown locations. Taleen Mikulenka was promoted to operations manager The Alaska Club West and The Alaska Club Downtown. She has been with the company since 1998.

AT&T Alascom

Markayla Cange recently joined AT&T Alascom as a technical services specialist in the business sales department. She will be responsible for business marketing and product support. She has five years experience in the telecommunications industry.

Alaska Judicial Council

Anchorage businesswoman and former commissioner of the Department of Administration Eleanor Andrews was appointed to the Alaska Judicial Council. Since 1987, Andrews has served as president and CEO of the Andrews Group, an Anchorage-based management services and logistics support company. The seven-member judicial council reviews applicants for Alaska judgeships and nominates finalists for the governor's selection.
