Honorary Consulate

Alaskan William H. Bittner, who has provided legal representation to a number of Korean businesses, was named honorary consul general recently in a ceremony by Seattle's Consulate General of the Republic of Korea. The ceremony was held in the offices of Birch, Horton, Bittner and Cherot. Bittner expressed appreciation for the appointment, promised to work closely with Alaska's Korean community and said he hoped the Korean government would eventually reopen an official Consulate General in Alaska.

Northrim Bank

Steve Taylor was promoted to unit manager for Northrim Bank's Downtown Financial Center, and Joe Crosson was hired as vice president, business development. Taylor has more than 24 years of Alaska banking experience. Crosson has 18 years banking experience in Washington, Idaho and Alaska. Ray Dinger, commercial real estate loan officer, was promoted to assistant vice president, commercial real estate loan officer. Duane Dudley was hired as vice president, commercial loan officer.

National Bank of Alaska

Chris Clifford, Don Cochrane, John Delano, Angela Dirks and Hilde Stapgens recently were named vice presidents of National Bank of Alaska, according to Ed Rasmuson, chairman of the bank's board of directors. John Snelling, Valerie McMillan, Sam Mazzeo, Jon Lockert, William Kaltschnee, Masako Ferreira, Sandra Campbell, Anthony Bromirski, Carol Baxter, Steve Horn, Rosemary Jennings and Lisa Wimmer recently were promoted to assistant vice president positions.

Re/Max Properties Inc.

Carol Butler has once again been named the number one agent for Re/Max Properties Inc. These results for 1999 represent the consistent level of accomplishment she has attained during her 21-year career in real estate. Butler has maintained Platinum Club status, the highest level of sales achievement within the Re/Max International organization.

Titan Specialized Services

Titan Specialized Services, a national provider of emergency power system maintenance, has opened in Wasilla its third Alaska office. Titan installs, inspects, tests and maintains emergency power systems for industrial plants, hospitals, Internet providers and facilities with mission-critical electrical functions.

Homestate Mortgage

Mina O'Dell joined the Anchorage office of Homestate Mortgage as a senior loan originator. O'Dell has worked in the mortgage industry since 1986 and recently transferred to Homestate.
