Col. Fredrick Lehman has assumed command of U.S. Army Garrison, Alaska. Lehman replaces Col. Anthony M. Coroalles, who commanded the U.S. Army Garrison, Alaska since 1998.

Spenard Builders Supply promoted Renee Braun to training and operations administrator. In this new position, Braun will be responsible for leading the continuing education and training programs for SBS employees statewide.

Alaska Mechanical Inc.

Alaska Mechanical Inc. won the first place Eagle Award in Associated Builders and Contractors' National Excellence in Construction competition for industrial $15-$25 million category. The Red Dog Port Site material handling project was selected as an outstanding project submission.

HDR Alaska Inc,

Dirk Greeley recently joined HDR Alaska Inc. as an engineer-in-training. Jennifer Dillon joined HDR as an environmental scientist. Todd Verdick joined HDR as an engineer-in-training. Robyn Syren was recently hired as a project control clerk. HDR also hired Brandy Prosser as an environmental scientist. Melanie Lombardo is a new staff scientist in HDR's Juneau office.

Providence Health System

Rae Stager joined Providence Health System as director of marketing, communications and public relations. Stager oversees development of all marketing, communications and public relations functions in Alaska.
