Fall Council Resolution Moves Global Credential Initiative Forward.

With the governing Council's passage of a resolution authorizing the AICPA's continued participation in the development of the new global business credential (The CPA Letter, Nov.), plans now are under way for the AICPA and state CPA societies to launch a member-education campaign. A comprehensive communications program is being designed to inform all members about the benefits, market value and implementation of the proposed credential--as it is not a CPA credential, nor a replacement for it, but an entirely new credential. Members' feedback on the initiative will be considered as well.
