CalCPA Awards Scholarships to Accounting Master's Candidates

CalCPA's Accounting Education Committee annually offers students attending a California university and pursuing a master's degree in accounting or taxation scholarships of up to $5,000. Nearly 40 students applied for the 2012-13 scholarships, which were awarded to eight students:

* John Berg, CSU Los Angeles

* Noelle Brescia, San Diego State University

* Doreen Li, University of Southern California

* Julie Ming, USC

* John Pluciennik, USC

* Alexander Rezzo, USC

* Jill Scialabba, SDSU

* Mengri Yang, USC

During the past six years, CalCPA has awarded 34 scholarships totaling nearly $100,000 to master's degree students.
