RELIGIOUS DIVERSITY WILL BE ON THE RISE.

Look for increasing religious diversity in America in the near future, as well as interactive religious adventures and religion-related theme parks, predicts Theodore Trost, professor of religious studies, University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. "Increased tolerance and appreciation of a variety of religious rights and values throughout our country will create a landscape of diversity and uniqueness. As favorable working conditions for new U.S. citizens and the continual importation of new foreign-based businesses continues, we will further see proof of differing religious practices in America."

Trost says the U.S. is becoming increasingly tolerant of differences, from sexual orientation to physical appearances to religious beliefs. However, America's largest religious denominations--such as Roman Catholics and Southern Baptists--are in no danger of becoming obsolete.
