According to Law.com, 34% of in-house counsel who responded to Fulbright & Jaworski's annual "Litigation Trends Survey" last year expected to face more lawsuits in 2009.

They anticipated the global recession would bring about more litigation. But recent surveys show demand for litigation services fell flat during the first part of 2009 compared with a year earlier. A survey of general counsels at Fortune 1000 firms by BTI Consulting Group found legal departments spent 1% less on litigation in 2009.
