Chamber Action
H.R. 1769 (Alpine Lakes Wilderness Ad-
ditions and Pratt and Middle Fork Sno-
qualmie Rivers Protection Act), which
would expand the Alpine Lakes Wilder-
ness in the state of Washington and
designate the Middle Fork Snoqualmie
River and Pratt River as w ild and scenic
rivers, was passed by the House. 156

2010).
H.R. 3433 (North America n Wetlands
Conservation Act), which would amend
the North American Wetlands C on-
servation Act to establish requirements
regarding payment of the nonfederal
share of the costs of wetlands c onserva-
tion projects in Canada that are f unded
under that Act, was passed by the Senate,
clearing the measure for the president.

H.R. 3644 (Ocean, Coa stal, and Water-
shed Education Act), which would direct
NOAA to establish education and wa-
tershed programs that advance environ-
mental literacy, including preparedness
and adaptability for the likely impac ts
of climate change in coa stal watershed
regions, was passed by the House. 156

H.R. 3650 (Harmful A lgal Blooms and
Hypoxia Research and Control Amend-
ments Act), which would establish a
National Harmful Algal Bloom and Hy-
poxia Program to develop and coordinate
a comprehensive and integrated strategy
to address harmful algal blooms and hy-
poxia and to provide for the development
and implementation of comprehensive
regional action plans to reduce harm ful
algal blooms and hypoxia , was passed by

H.R. 3671 (Upper Mississippi River
Basin Protection Act), which would pro-
mote DOI eorts to provide a scientic
basis for the management of sediment
and nutrient loss in the Upper Missis-
sippi River Basin, was passed by the

H.R. 3954 (Florida National Forest
Land Adjustment Act), which would
release federal reversionar y interests
retained on certain lands acquired in
the state of Florida under the Bankhead-
Jones Farm Tenant Act, authorize the
interchange of National Forest System
land and state land in Florida, and au-
thorize an additional conveya nce under
the Florida National Forest Land Man-
agement Act of 2003, was passed by the

H.R. 4003 (Hudson River Valley Special
Resource Study Act), which would direct
the Secretary of the Interior to conduct
a special resource study to eva luate re-
sources in the Hudson River Valley in
the state of New York to determine the
suitability and feasibility of establishing
the site as a unit of the National Park
System, was passed by the House. 156

H.R. 4252 (Inland Empire Perchlorate
Ground Water Plume Assessment Act),
which would direct the Secreta ry of
the Interior to conduct a study of water
resources in the Ria lto-Colton Basin in

H.R. 4395 (Gettysburg National
Military Park), which would revise t he
boundaries of the Gett ysburg National
Military Park to include the Gett ysburg
Train Station, was passed by the House.

Committee Action
S. 443 (la nd conveya nce) was reported

transfer c ertain land to the United
States to be held in trust for the Hoh
Indian Tribe.
S. 479 (Chesapeake Bay Initiative Act)
was reported by the Committee on Envi-
ronment and Public Works. S. Rep. No.
111-164, 156 Cong. Rec. S1812 (daily ed.
Mar. 22, 2010). e bill would amend
the Chesapeake Bay Initiative Ac t of
1998 to provide for the continuing au-
thorization of the Chesapeake Bay Gate-
ways and Watertrails Network.
S. 555 (Arapaho-Roosevelt National For-
ests) was reported by the Committee on
Energy and Natural Resources. S. Rep.
No. 111-131, 156 Cong. Rec. S944 (daily
ed. Mar. 2, 2010). e bill would provide
for the exchange of certain land located
in the Arapaho-Roose velt National For-
ests in the state of Colorado.
