We know you have little free time during the holiday season, and we hope this issue makes things a little easier by bringing you ready-to-go lessons and high-interest texts sure to captivate your students. No matter which articles you choose, you'll be covering critical topics and important skills:

* Use our report on the terror attacks in Paris to explore central ideas (with a skills page available only online).

* Use our special report on football (an article focusing on concussions and safety, and a Times Past feature on the sport's history) with a primary source penned by Teddy Roosevelt in 1893--and have students compare how the three authors treat the same topic.
