LESS GOVERNMENT EQUALS BETTER HEALTH

As a participant in the marketplace economy, I am dismayed that you believe the legislature has answers in developing a quality health insurance system (Robert Schwab: "Stronger medicine needed," July).

As with many in the journalism business, you seem to think a significant government involvement in any difficult part of our economy will help things. However, you never suggest that government expand its role in publishing and fixing outrageous advertising prices.

Many believe government-run systems will bring lower costs. Apparently you may be in that camp.

This is not true. The market of health services will function best with as few government rules as we can devise.
