The Rasmuson Foundation awarded $290,804 in fourth quarter 2007 to 13 Alaska nonprofits. The National Outdoor Leadership School in Palmer received $25,000 to renovate the historic Berry House, a Colony-era building used by the group. The Calista Elders Council received $25,000 to fund publication of a bilingual book for Yup'ik and non-Yup'ik readers about elders and their language. The Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage received $19,870 for event timing, fencing, medical and communication equipment.
