NBER Research Associate Raghuram G. Rajan, who directs the NBER's Program on Corporate Finance, has been appointed Economic Counsellor and Director of the Research Department at the International Monetary Fund. He will succeed another NBER researcher, Kenneth S. Rogoff, who returned to Harvard University's Economics Department in September.
