The mission of the Public Service Award Committee is to select the annual recipient of Public Service Award. The award is presented to a CalCPA member who has or had an active accounting practice and who has served the public with acts outside of the accounting -field that. bring honor .to the profession and, more importantly, improvement to the community and the public.

In recent years the committee has added a firm award to recognize the same efforts of a firm that is committed to making a contribution in their community More and more CPA firms have annual community service days.
