A Republican member of the Wisconsin Elections Commission has bragged about the party's success in reducing the vote in "overwhelming Black and Hispanic areas." Robert Spindell, also one of the fake electors who tried to steal the 2020 election for Donald Trump, sent an email crediting a "well-thought-out multifaceted plan," that included "Biting Black Radio Negative Commercials" and a "substantial & very effective Republican Coordinated Election Integrity program"

Double Your Standard

A school district in Georgia is being sued by students who say they were turned away from school events for wearing Black Lives Matter T-shirts while other students were allowed to wear shirts adorned with Confederate flags. Administrators in Effingham County cited a district-wide policy barring clothing that "may contribute to disruption."

No Right to Bare Arms

The GOP-controlled Missouri state legislature, in one of its first items of business in the new year, passed stricter dress code rules, but only for women lawmakers. The new rules for women now require "jackets worn with dresses, skirts, or slacks, and dress shoes or boots" and covered arms.

Trump Lies, Democracy Dies

From an Associated Press article about a new GOP-backed law in Ohio that shortens the time span for receiving mailed ballots from members of the armed services, perhaps disenfranchising these voters: "Republican lawmakers said during debate on the Ohio legislation that even if Trumps claims [of election fraud] aren't true, the skepticism they have caused among conservatives about the accuracy of election results justifies imposing new limits."
