Ruth Franklin, director of the National Defense Industrial Association's Procurement Division, retires in August after nearly two decades of service.

As NDIA's conduit for association members to the Defense Department's director of procurement and acquisition policy, and other federal agency counterparts, Franklin has been widely recognized for her institutional knowledge of the many issues that are specifically of interest to the Procurement Division, its seven committees, and generally to all NDIA members.

As NDIA's representative to the Council on Defense and Space Industries Association, she conducted and participated in multiple special studies to assist in providing government with industry perspectives on regulatory policies, practices, needs and problems.
