PRECAUTIONS FOR REOPENING BUSINESSES.

As states start to re-open from the coronavirus lockdown, one of the big questions left unanswered is how secure will people feel visiting their offices, grocery stores, entertainment venues, hotels, etc.? According to Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines, these places regularly should disinfect surfaces, equipment, and other areas with Environmental Protection Agency-approved cleaning chemicals that include label claims against the coronavirus.

Patrick Haddad, chief product and technology officer for Disinfect & Shield, provides a number of steps all workplaces can take to reduce risk of exposure to coronavirus:

* Be sure workers stay home if they are sick.

* Encourage respiratory etiquette, including covering coughs and sneezes.
