On the heels of the great blackout of the summer of 2003, CLF is trying to stop the Vermont Electric Power Company (VELCo) from constructing a huge, $128 million transmission line expansion to import out-of-state fossil fuel energy. CLF's expert witness testified in December before the Vermont Public Service Board (currently reviewing VELCo's request).
