After more than thirty years in executive positions with international corporations, Ed Anderson and Ron Tapp formed the Portofino Club. After having left corporate America, they both were enjoying a leisurely dinner and began discussing what each felt was the ultimate vacation. By the end of dinner, they had developed a business concept to create a private club providing members access to luxurious vacation homes in some of the most sought after destinations in the world. In creating a name for the Club, they both reflected on past travel experiences and determined that Portofino, Italy was the ultimate vacation spot ... therefore, an appropriate name for the Club.

Ron and Ed both have extensive executive management experience so they understand the importance of a sound business plan and vision. Solid planning has obviously contributed to the treatmendous growth the Club has experienced, having added more than 35 members in less than one year.

In order to meet this growing membership demand, the Portofino Club will be adding an additional five homes by the end of 2003 with another six homes added in 2004. These homes will be located throughout the United States and Europe in exceptional destinations with exquisite amenities.
