ROY PERRY, corporate vice president of global supply-chain management for Louisville-based StorageTek, was recognized for his achievements and contributions to the technology industry at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry's Black Creativity exhibit that ran from mid-January through February.

The interactive exhibit, titled "Engineering the Future," showcased a team of engineering "super-heroes" and challenged visitors to build a computer, design a building that can withstand an earthquake, create a molecular structure and more.

Perry's past awards have included the 2003 Supply Chain Innovator and Superstar Award from Frontline Solutions magazine; the Professional Achievement in Industry Award from the Black Engineer of the Year Conference; and recently he was named one of the 50 Most Important Blacks in Technology for 2005 by U.S. Black Engineer and Information Technology magazine.

LISA SCHOMP, owner and president of Littleton-based Ralph Schomp Automotive, was named 2005 Dealer of the Year by Dealer magazine and Automotive Youth Education Systems. AYES is an internship and mentoring program that encourages young people to consider careers in retail automotive service and prepares interested students for entry-level career positions or advanced studies in automotive technology.
