Bethers joins the company with an extensive background in finance, including more than 10 years with Marriott Corporation. Saylor's experience includes 13 years of operations and manufacturing management and nearly 10 years in engineering.

Don Danks has been appointed CEO and chairman of Imergent with the retirement of out-going CEO John "Jay" Poelman. Poelman was one of the early founders of Galaxy Mall, which was acquired by Imergent in 2000.

J. Brent Packard, chairman of the board of Central Bank, has received the Utah Bankers Association's highest honor, "The Distinguished Banker Award." Packard is the fourth generation of Packards to lead Central Bank, which merged with State Bank of Provo in 1966.

Michael Chen, associated with the law firm Kirton & McConkie, has been appointed dean of the department of law at Nanjing Agricultural University in Nanjing, China. Chen grauduated cum laude with a Juris Doctorate from Brigham Young University and has been admitted to the bar in Utah, California and the People's Republic of China. The department of law is a new unit of Nanjing Agricultural University and currently hosts a four-year undergraduate program.

Buyers United Inc. has named CPA David Grow its CFO to help develop the company's financial position and profile. Grow has experience including more than 10 years as a CFO with various public companies and 10 years in public accounting with Price-waterhouseCoopers.

The Utah Department of Environmental Quality has appointed William Sinclair as deputy director. Sinclair has worked for the State of Utah for more than 23 years, beginning with the Bureau of General Sanitation and moving on to the Bureau of Solid and Hazardous Waste. As deputy director, Sinclair will work toward solving tough environmental issues and work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure clean air, land and water.

Scott DuBois has been elected president of the Park City Bar Association for 2003-2004. DuBois resides in the Park City area and is a member of the Salt Lake firm Snell & Wilmer, in which he concentrates on general litigation in commercial, healthcare and product liability litigation.
