BARBARA THARP, corporate marketing and development director at KTVX 4 Utah, was elected president of the Utah Advertising Federation. Tharp has 11 years of broadcast experience and has been a member of the Utah Advertising Federation since 1992. She served as both first and second vice president, and as a member of the board of directors for the federation, overseeing scholarships, internships, socials and fundraisers.

VICKI FULKERSON was named president of the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS. Last year, as president-elect, she served as director representative to the government affairs committee. She has also participated in the Utah Home Builders Association special ethics task force, UAR education and convention committees, and served as a certified residential specialist Region 8 vice president. Fulkerson will also remain the president of Hidden Valley Real Estate while fulfilling her duties with the board.

LINDA K. AMOS was recently presented with the Sister Bernadette Arminger Award during the annual conference of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. The award has been given biennially since 1982 to recognize a nursing leader who has made significant contributions to the AACN and its goals, to nursing education and to the advancement of the profession. Amos served as dean of the U of U's nursing college for 20 years before stepping down last June. She currently serves as chair of the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

The HealthInsight board of directors selected MARC H. BENNETT as president and CEO. Bennett will oversee the company's activities including healthcare quality improvement projects, quality management, utilization management, external/independent review and consultation services. He has served as executive vice president and chief of operations since 1995, managing all operations and development functions for the corporation.

The international law firm of Holme Roberts & Owen LLP has named MARK K. BUCHI chairman of its executive committee. Buchi will manage nearly 200 attorneys and five offices located in the United States and Europe. Previously, he served as chairman of the Utah State Tax Commission.
