Strategic Moves

(1) The Children's Museum of Utah announces ANNE ASMAN as its new executive director. Previously director of marketing for KTVX Television, she worked with businesses and community organizations to build partnerships promoting issues of importance to Utah families. Asman spearheaded most public and private partnership programs airing on KTVX. She will oversee the day-to-day operations, short-term expansion and a major relocation of the Children's Museum from its current home in the former Wasatch Warm Springs Resort Building into the Gateway Plaza, located near the historic Union Pacific railroad.

(2) Specialized Health Products International Inc. announces the appointment of PAUL S. EVANS as vice president and general counsel. He replaces retiring Dr. Gale Thorne, who will continue with the company as a consultant. Evans has been responsible for the patent prosecution for SHPI for the past six years. He has extensive commercial and board of director experience, as well as experience in the patenting, protection and transfer of technology. He received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah and a juris doctor degree with honors from the University of Utah College of Law.

(3) BRUCE ALBERTSON, president and CEO of lomega Corporation, was elected to the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce board of directors. Albertson's term of service began Jan. 1 and continues through Dec. 31, 2003.

(4) Precision Vascular Systems Inc. Chairman Dr. Steven Jacobsen announces the appointment of GLENN FOLEY as president and CEO of the company. Foley comes to PVS from Medtronic Vascular where he was vice president of global sales. He was also vice president of sales for Arterial Vascular Engineering before the acquisition of AVE by Medtronic in 1998.

Epixtech Inc. has announced that JULIAN CRITCHFIELD has been named chief technology officer and vice president of research and development.
