Pitney Bowes Inc. has launched a foreign current payment service, Pitney Bowes International Payments (PBIP), that gives small to mid-sized U.S. businesses the ability to make payment in more than 60 currencies by simply making a phone call. With the product, customers can pay international vendors, suppliers or employees in their local currency by using the telephone to fax or wire funds directly from their existing bank accounts. PBIP confirms all transactions by email, with details and costs stated in dollars; payees can be notified by email as well.
