Ahtna Inc. and Alyeska Pipeline Service Co. have renewed their 1974 Omnibus agreement that gives the 1,000-person Native corporation special contracting and employment considerations in exchange for land rights along the pipeline corridor. The original contract was lauded as the largest volume minority hiring program of its day and marked the beginning of concrete working relationships between the Ahtna regional Native corporation and Alyeska.
